Arkansas law has a number of hurdles to maneuver in order to establish an enforceable mechanic’s and materialman’s lien in the construction industry, many of which must be satisfied well in advance of even filing a lien. Arkansas lien law is statutory in nature, and only those who comply with the statutory requirements are entitled to obtain and enforce a lien on real estate subject to a construction agreement.
