Ryan O’Quinn is a transactional attorney with a practice emphasizing estate planning, trust and probate administration, taxation, tax planning, audits, and corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. He is recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America in the area of Trusts and Estates.
His experience includes:
- Advising clients involved in 1031 exchanges, including reverse and construction exchanges;
- Representing institutional trustees administering trusts with assets ranging from $10 million to $100 million;
- Counseling clients in the acquisition and sale of commercial real estate;
- Representing buyers and sellers in business takeovers involving equity and asset transactions;
- Assisting clients with the development of multifamily housing projects qualifying for low-income housing and tax credits;
- Guiding personal representatives of estates through complex and contested probate proceedings;
- Providing strategic estate planning advice focused on minimizing estate and gift taxes, as well as reducing income tax liability;
- Advising clients on raising capital for businesses and investment funds through equity offerings and convertible debt arrangements.
In 2011, Mr. O’Quinn obtained his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law followed by an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida in 2012.
Mr. O’Quinn received a B.S.B.A. in Finance and Commercial Banking from the University of Arkansas in 2008.
